OUR STORY
Growing up in Aamchi Mumbai, we experienced the city’s energy, resilience, and challenges up close. Among them, the mounting waste problem stood out—a daily reminder of how much potential was being discarded. Piles of organic waste, treated as a burden, filled our streets and landfills. We knew something had to change, and we decided to act.
In the heart of the city that shaped us, we built Mumbai’s first waste-to-energy plant. This decentralized system transforms organic waste into clean energy and compost, proving that what was once a liability can become a resource. Businesses no longer need to pay to send waste to landfills; instead, they’re part of a system that generates value while supporting a cleaner environment. It’s a small step, but a powerful testament to what’s possible when innovation meets purpose.
What started in “Aamchi Mumbai” is now evolving into a mission for “Apna India”. Aligned with the government’s Swachh Bharat Mission, we’re scaling our efforts to tackle India’s waste problem head-on. From empowering cities to adopt decentralized solutions to supporting businesses and communities, we’re helping turn waste into an opportunity for cleaner cities, healthier communities, and a more sustainable future. This journey began in the city we call home, but it’s driving a movement for the entire nation
